# Cancel or get a refund

> How to cancel a Tsenta subscription or ask for a refund, depending on whether you subscribed on the web, in the App Store, or on Google Play.

Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed. A subscription bought on the web is billed by Tsenta. A subscription bought in the iPhone or Android app is billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel it and ask for a refund in their store.

## Find where you subscribed

On the web, open **Settings**, then **Plans & billing**.

* If the page says "You subscribed in the app, so this plan is managed in the App Store or Google Play", you subscribed in the app. There is no **Cancel subscription** button on the web for these plans. Use the steps for your store below.
* Otherwise you subscribed on the web. See [Subscribed on the web](#subscribed-on-the-web).

Not sure which store? Apple and Google email a receipt for every charge, so search your email for a Tsenta receipt from Apple or Google Play.

## Subscribed on the web

1. Go to **Settings**, then **Plans & billing**.
2. Select **Cancel subscription** and follow the steps.

You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again. If you have a question about a charge on a web subscription, email [founders@tsenta.com](mailto:founders@tsenta.com).

## Subscribed in the iPhone app (App Store)

Apple holds this subscription and the payment. Tsenta cannot cancel it or issue a refund for it.

### Cancel

1. On your iPhone, open the **Settings** app and tap your name.
2. Tap **Subscriptions**, then **Tsenta**.
3. Tap **Cancel Subscription**.

You can also open the Tsenta app, go to **Profile**, **Settings**, **Subscription & cancel**, and tap **Cancel or manage in App Store**. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

### Get a refund

1. Go to [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com) and sign in with the Apple ID that paid for the subscription. This can be different from the email you use for Tsenta.
2. Choose **Request a refund**, then pick the reason.
3. Select the Tsenta charge and submit.

Apple decides on the request and emails you the result. A refund request does not cancel the subscription, so cancel it as well to stop the next charge.

## Subscribed in the Android app (Google Play)

Google holds this subscription and the payment, so cancel it in Google Play and ask Google for a refund first.

### Cancel

1. Open the **Google Play Store** app and tap your profile picture.
2. Tap **Payments & subscriptions**, then **Subscriptions**.
3. Tap **Tsenta**, then **Cancel subscription**.

You can also open the Tsenta app, go to **Profile**, **Settings**, **Subscription & cancel**, and tap **Cancel or manage in Google Play**. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.

### Get a refund

1. Go to your [Google Play order history](https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory) and sign in with the Google account that paid for the subscription. This can be different from the email you use for Tsenta.
2. Find the Tsenta charge and request a refund.

Google emails you the result. If Google declines, email [founders@tsenta.com](mailto:founders@tsenta.com) from your account's email address. A refund request does not cancel the subscription, so cancel it as well to stop the next charge.

## Deleting your account

Deleting your Tsenta account cancels a web subscription, but not an App Store or Google Play one. Cancel those in the store first. See [Deleting your account](https://docs.tsenta.com/product/privacy-and-data.md#deleting-your-account).
