# Getting started

> Create your account, upload your resume, confirm your details, and send your first application with Tsenta.

This guide follows the current web onboarding flow from account creation to your first application. Your first **25 successful applications are free**. No card is required.

## Before you begin

You'll need:

* An email address (you can sign in with Google).
* A recent resume as a **PDF** file under 10 MB.

<Tip>
  Web onboarding starts with a PDF. After setup, you can add a resume profile from a DOCX file if you want Tsenta to preserve compatible formatting from that template.
</Tip>

## Step 1 — Create your account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the dashboard">
    Go to [dashboard.tsenta.com](https://dashboard.tsenta.com) and sign up. You can use Google or an email and password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start onboarding">
    After signing in, Tsenta walks you straight into a short setup flow.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Step 2 — Upload your PDF resume

Setup centers on your resume. Upload a PDF, and Tsenta starts extracting the profile information it needs for applications.

Extraction continues while you finish setup. It normally takes about 30–60 seconds. Tsenta uses the result to prefill your contact details, work history, education, and skills.

## Step 3 — Confirm your profile

Next, fill the application details that a resume normally does not contain. The current setup flow covers:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Location" icon="location-dot">
    Your address and location details for employer forms.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Contact details" icon="user">
    Your phone number and professional profile link.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Work eligibility" icon="passport">
    Work authorization and visa status used for matching and supported application questions.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Application checklist" icon="list-check">
    Work preferences, common background questions, optional demographic details, and additional application context.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Application password" icon="key">
    A separate password Tsenta can use when an employer system requires an application account.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Application settings" icon="sliders">
    Resume optimization, resume auto-approval, and review-before-submit behavior.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

If everything looks good, you can move through each step with a tap. Your extracted work history, education, and skills are not separate steps in this setup sequence; review or edit them later under **Profile**.

<Note>
  Keep your **work authorization** current. Tsenta reuses it when answering eligibility questions and when applying sponsorship-related filters, but employer policies and job data can change.
</Note>

## Step 4 — Find your first role

Once setup is complete, the dashboard shows matched roles with a match score.

* **Swipe right to apply, left to skip** — or use the apply buttons.
* Use search and filters (location, salary, role type, work setting, and more) to narrow things down.
* Paste a supported job link to add a specific eligible role to your queue.

## Step 5 — Start the application

Choose a resume profile and start the application. What happens next depends on two separate settings:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review resume changes, if enabled">
    When resume optimization is on and resume auto-approval is off, Tsenta pauses so you can inspect or edit the tailored resume.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Let Tsenta fill the form">
    The cloud worker signs in when needed, fills supported fields, handles supported verification steps, and uploads the application documents.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the filled form, if enabled and supported">
    Review before submit pauses compatible application systems after the form is filled. Other systems continue without this pause.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the result">
    A successful submission is added to your application history and tracker with the answers and documents captured in its application record.
  </Step>
</Steps>

That's it — you've sent your first application.

## Use Auto Apply, if available

Auto Apply is gradually released for eligible Pro and Power accounts. If the **Auto Apply** page appears on your account, you can configure:

* A minimum match score
* A daily application cap
* Job filters and freshness
* The resume profile and optimization mode to use

Auto Apply selects from eligible matching roles and always skips manual review steps. Leave it off if you want to choose every job yourself.
