# How auto-apply works

> A plain-English walkthrough of how Tsenta finds, prepares, submits, and tracks your job applications — and how you stay in control.

Tsenta turns the job search into a pipeline with four stages: **find, prep, apply, track**. This page explains what happens at each stage from your point of view — and where you can step in.

## 1. Find

Tsenta collects roles from supported job sources and ranks them against your profile and saved preferences.

Each match comes with:

* A **match score** so you can see at a glance how well it fits.

You can find roles a few ways:

* **Your match feed** in the **Jobs** view, where you can swipe right to apply or left to skip.
* **Search and filters** to narrow by location, salary, role type, work setting, experience level, and more.
* **Pasting a supported job link** to add a specific eligible role to your queue.

The feed normally shows roles that Tsenta can send through a supported application path. Availability is still checked again when you start an application because employer forms change.

## 2. Prep

For each role you apply to, Tsenta prepares your materials from the actual job description:

    If optimization is on, it reorders, emphasizes, or rewrites resume content at the level you selected. You remain responsible for checking the accuracy of generated content.

    Cover letters are generated at apply time for supported workflows that accept or require one. Tsenta can use your saved cover letter as a starting point.

    If resume auto-approval is off, Tsenta pauses after optimization so you can inspect or edit the resume.

## 3. Apply

Tsenta completes the application for you, end to end:

* Fills the fields supported by that application workflow.
* Drafts **open-ended answers** from your saved profile and application context.
* Uploads your resume and any other required documents.
* Handles supported account, verification, and one-time-passcode steps.
* Submits the completed application.

Execution runs in the cloud. The application detail view shows the current phase and final outcome captured by the workflow.

Every submitted application produces an **application record** from its trace. It can include the captured fields and answers, documents, and submission result. The detail varies by application system.

## 4. Track

Once an application is in, Tsenta helps you keep up with it:

* New applications flow into your **tracker** automatically.
* Job-related messages received through Tsenta's dedicated inbox can be classified and linked to the matching application.
* Your pipeline — applied, ghosted, interviewing, rejected, or offer — stays in one place.

## How hands-off can it be?

Tsenta separates resume review, form review, and automatic role selection:

Resume auto-approval does not mean every form supports review, and review before submit does not control resume optimization. You can change these settings in **Apply settings**. Auto Apply has its own settings page when the feature is available.

## A note on your time

Each application Tsenta sends is one you did not have to fill out by hand. The point is simple: spend your energy on interviews and decisions, not on retyping your work history.
