# Privacy & your data

> What Tsenta collects, how it uses your information, what it never does, and the controls you have over your data.

Tsenta handles your resume, your profile, and your job search — so it's worth being clear about what happens to that information. This page summarizes current product behavior in plain language. For the formal legal terms, see the [Privacy Policy](https://tsenta.com/privacy).

<Note>
  The short version: Tsenta uses your information to find jobs and apply for you, **never sells your personal information**, and sends your application materials to an employer only when you submit or authorize Tsenta to submit, including through Auto Apply.
</Note>

## How Tsenta uses your data

Tsenta uses your information to:

* Find and apply to jobs for you.
* Tailor your resume and write application answers — when you ask it to.
* Detect and fill in one-time passcodes during applications, if you've connected your email.
* Receive, classify, and link messages sent to your dedicated Tsenta inbox.
* Keep your account secure and improve the product.
* Communicate with you about updates, features, and support.

## What Tsenta doesn't do

  <Card title="Never sells your data" icon="ban">
    Tsenta does not sell your personal information. It does use analytics and advertising-measurement providers as described below.

## When your data is shared

Tsenta shares information to operate the service and measure product acquisition in these situations:

* **With the employer's application system or recruiting contact** when you submit or authorize Tsenta to submit an application, or when you send a reply through Tsenta.
* **With the trusted providers** Tsenta relies on to run the service, each limited to what's needed for its function.
* **For advertising measurement and attribution.** Tsenta uses Meta's conversion tools. Depending on the event, this can send hashed account or profile attributes together with ad-click, browser, IP-address, and user-agent signals so a signup or purchase can be attributed and measured.

See the [full Privacy Policy](https://tsenta.com/privacy) for the current legal terms. Its provider disclosures need to be reconciled with the Meta attribution path before the policy is treated as a complete list.

## Email integration

Tsenta gives your account a dedicated inbox address for application messages. Messages sent to that address can be stored in Tsenta, classified by type, linked to the relevant application, and shown in your inbox. High-confidence messages may update the associated tracker status.

Connecting your own email is **optional**:

* The current user-facing Gmail or Outlook connection can retrieve one-time passcodes needed to finish supported applications.
* The current Privacy Policy limits connected-email processing to passcode-related messages and says Tsenta does not retain full copies of your email.
* You can disconnect the provider from your account settings.

See the [Privacy Policy](https://tsenta.com/privacy) for the authoritative details about access, storage, providers, retention, and deletion.

## AI features

When you use Tsenta's AI features, your input (like your resume and a job description) is processed to generate tailored output. A couple of things to know:

* **You're responsible for reviewing AI-generated content** before it's submitted to an employer.
* If you connect Tsenta to a **third-party AI assistant** (for example, Claude), that assistant's provider receives what you send it and the information Tsenta returns, governed by that provider's own privacy terms. Connecting an assistant is optional, and you can disconnect it at any time.
