# Your profile & resume

> Upload your resume, keep your profile accurate, manage multiple resume versions, and control how Tsenta tailors your materials.

Your profile is the source of truth Tsenta uses when preparing applications. The more complete and accurate it is, the more consistently Tsenta can fill supported fields and tailor your resume. This page covers your profile, resume profiles, and the settings that control how Tsenta adapts them per job.

## Your profile

You'll find everything under **Profile** in the dashboard. It reads like a portfolio of your career, organized into sections:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Contact & personal info" icon="user">
    Name, email, phone, and location — used for identity and contact fields.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Experience" icon="briefcase">
    Your roles, companies, dates, and accomplishments.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Education" icon="graduation-cap">
    Schools, degrees, majors, and dates.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Skills" icon="list-check">
    Grouped skills you can add to or trim.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Projects & certifications" icon="award">
    Extra credibility to draw on when a role calls for it.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Application defaults" icon="passport">
    Work authorization, work preferences, and the background answers Tsenta reuses on applications.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

You can also add **custom sections** for anything that doesn't fit the standard layout.

### Keeping it complete

Tsenta shows a completeness indicator and flags fields that are missing or that applications commonly require. Filling these in means fewer surprises and fewer applications that need your attention mid-flight.

<Tip>
  Keep your **work authorization** current so Tsenta can answer supported eligibility questions consistently. You remain responsible for checking that the answer fits each employer's wording.
</Tip>

## Your resume

Your selected resume profile supplies the resume Tsenta prepares for an application. From your profile you can:

* **Preview** the resume Tsenta will send.
* **Upload** a new resume at any time.
* **Download** your resume.

<Note>
  **PDF vs. DOCX.** Initial web onboarding accepts a PDF under 10 MB. After onboarding, you can import a compatible DOCX into a resume profile. Tsenta preserves supported DOCX template formatting when it renders a tailored PDF, although complex layouts may not carry over perfectly. A PDF import uses Tsenta's resume rendering.
</Note>

### Cover letters

Cover letters are generated **on demand** in supported application workflows that accept or require one. The general apply settings do not include a separate cover-letter selector. When a cover letter is created, you can find it with the application's documents.

## Multiple resume profiles

You're not limited to one resume. Tsenta lets you keep several **resume profiles** — for example, one tuned for frontend roles and another for product roles.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a profile">
    Make a new profile from scratch, duplicate an existing one, or import a different resume file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a default">
    Pick which profile Tsenta uses by default when you apply.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Rename, duplicate, or delete">
    Manage all your profiles from the switcher on your profile page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## How Tsenta tailors your materials

You control how much Tsenta rewrites your resume for each job in **Apply settings**.

### Resume optimization modes

<CardGroup cols={3}>
  <Card title="Off" icon="ban">
    Submit your resume as-is. No AI rewriting.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Honest" icon="circle-check">
    Reword for the role using only what's already on your resume. Nothing invented.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Aggressive" icon="bolt">
    Rewrite more freely to maximize keyword match. This can stretch the truth, so review before sending.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Warning>
  You're responsible for the content you submit to employers. In **Aggressive** mode especially, review the tailored resume before it goes out to make sure every claim is accurate.
</Warning>

### Auto-approve

Your resume has an **auto-approve** toggle. When it's on, Tsenta can continue with the tailored resume without waiting for a resume review. When it's off, applications using optimization pause for you to review the proposed resume.

You can separately turn on **review before submit** to check the filled form for the application systems that support this review step. Applications on other supported systems continue through their normal flow.

<Note>
  Auto Apply is a separate Pro and Power feature offered during rollout. When you enable it, eligible roles can be selected and submitted automatically using the limits, filters, resume profile, and tailoring settings in its own configuration.
</Note>

<Tip>
  Start with auto-approve **off** for your first few applications so you can see how Tsenta tailors your materials. Turn it on once you're comfortable.
